Highgate X factor Sophie is booted off

Misha B and Sophie Habibis in the firing line.

I was very sad to see Sophie Habibis booted off the X Factor last night. The judges had to decide between Sophie and Misha B, a great shock for the nation and all the contestants and judges too. I knew it wouldn't be good news for Sophie going against a voice like Misha, and my predictions were right. She has a lovely husky voice,  and seemed like a really nice girl. More importantly, she was local, working at a pub in Highgate, North London. Have a glance at this article in The Haringey Independant if you want more details:

Being a singer from North London myself (and having worked in a pub all summer I might add) I feel a great loss my fellow North Londoner has exited the competition. I think she deserved to be there much longer. Where do I begin.. Frankie Cocozza maybe? Every year X factor makes me scream with anger as I see true talent eliminated, and average out of tune wanna be singers stay. It really is a joke. If you have any thoughts regarding X factor and those who remain/ or who have exited please comment below, it's always good to have a good old bitch and moan.

Anyway, I will leave this post on a positive and memorable note, with a video clip of Sophie singing her heart out with Nancy Sinatra's 'Bang Bang'  and looking stunning. We'll miss you Sophie.

Fright night on the X factor

Happy Halloween readers if I have any. If you are reading my post then its much appreciated, and you probably want to look back on last night's Halloween themed Fright Night on the X factor. I know I am going on about it a little, but it is definitely keeping me entertained, and I genuinely love some of the acts.

One act who is being talked about is Misha B. She is a true star, born to be on that stage, and has a great, unique and powerful voice. It can't even be doubted. Last night she gave a perfect performance of 'Tainted Love'  which is famously sung by various artists, including Marilyn Manson.

There has been a lot of controversy surrounding Misha, from judges Louis Walsh, and Tulisa calling her a 'bully' which caused some outrage. Personally, I think she is extremely talented, and may be a diva but has a very good chance of winning to singing competition. I am a fan.

X Factor's The Risk lose a band member

I was sad to hear today that The Risk, X factor's boyfriend, and one of my latest obsessions may indeed be at risk. Ashley J Baptiste has quit the band claiming "I don't believe my future lies in a boy band and its not fair on Charlie, Derry and Andy to remain in a band when I am not truly committed to it for the long term." (Mirror)

The band were devastated and thought it would lose them the competition, but I think it will make them stronger. I'm also really happy to hear they have asked ex Nu Vibe band member Ashford Campbell to join. I'm very excited to see how this will turn out tonight on ITV1. I hope the boys will rock, I'm sure they will.
